Get ready to dive into a whirlwind of fangirling! I recently had the amazing opportunity to attend the FirstKhao and EarthMix fanmeetings in Rome, and let me tell you, it was an experience I’ll never forget! This article will take you through every detail, from ticket prices to the heartwarming moments that made my heart skip a beat.
Ticket Prices and Pass Perks
Before I get into the heart of the event, let’s talk about the tickets. You had your choice of three tiers, each offering different perks:
- Black Pass: 80€ for either FirstKhao or EarthMix. Included was the Q&A session.
- Gold Pass: 205€ for either FirstKhao or EarthMix. You got the Q&A session, plus the chance to snap a picture with the actors!
- Platin Pass: 360€ for either FirstKhao or EarthMix. This premium pass included the Q&A, a photo op, and an autograph.
Now, for the cherry on top, there was a lucky draw for a “high touch” opportunity, where you could briefly interact with the actors. This was open to black, silver, and gold pass holders, with 10 winners for each and a whopping 60 winners for those with a platin pass. Sadly, no high touch for the pink pass holders.
The venue itself was well organized, with assigned seating for each ticket type. This meant no scrambling for seats between events and plenty of time to relax in the cafe or enjoy the courtyard without worrying about losing your spot.
FirstKhao: A Meeting I Won’t Forget
The day started bright and early at 7:30 am with registration. I was there at 7 am, and the process moved along swiftly. I snagged a cute bag filled with goodies like posters, keychains, postcards, and of course, my precious pass. They even offered to hand-deliver any gifts you might have for FirstKhao or EarthMix, a thoughtful touch!
The photo session with FirstKhao came next. Lines were organized by ticket type, with higher-priced tickets getting to go first. While I chose to relax at the hotel cafe instead of lining up, I only ended up waiting about half an hour before my turn came.
And then, the moment I’d been waiting for – entering the room where FirstKhao stood! Seeing Khao just three meters away from me almost sent me into a swoon. I’m not even exaggerating; I felt like I was in a dream!
When it was my turn, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t even look them in the eye. First even said something to me, but I was in a daze. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t even looking at the camera in the picture! My face was probably frozen in a mixture of awe and sheer disbelief.
The fan meeting followed right after. The host was fantastic, keeping the energy high and making everyone laugh. Before the main event, they played some clips from the second part of the series, which set off screams and cheers throughout the room, especially at the kiss scenes. We also received a video message from JimmySea and PondPhuwin, who will be holding their own fanmeeting in Rome in August.
FirstKhao performed a couple of songs, then it was time for Q&A. Most of the questions were the usual sweet nothings about how much they love their fans, but one stood out. They were asked about their childhood dreams. First shared that he wanted to be an astronaut, while Khao confessed to dreaming of being a doctor (First added that everyone wants to be a doctor!). Khao even recounted a hilarious story about a recurring dream he had as a child, which always ended with him waking up to find he had wet his bed!
The fun didn’t stop there! FirstKhao played two games with the audience. One was the classic paper-folding game (remember BadBuddy?), where they had to stand on increasingly smaller pieces of paper. The other involved the audience, divided into teams, and a competition to see who could get a balloon all the way to the back and then back to the front again. I was on First’s team, and we won! The competition was fierce, and the whole room was buzzing with excitement.
EarthMix: A Heart-Filled Experience
I had a bit of a break after FirstKhao to grab some french fries (overpriced and small, but they were good!). I chatted with some other fans who had experienced the high touch and autograph sessions, which seemed like fantastic opportunities to interact with the actors more closely and give them presents.
The second FirstKhao fanmeeting followed a similar format, but they had changed outfits, and there were new questions and a different game. One of the highlights was when they were asked which character they would like to play from each other’s series. The audience was screaming for SandRay, so they went with that, but I could tell by their expressions that it wasn’t their top choice.
They also shared their initial reactions to the “Only Friends” script, which they described as “hot and spicy.” The way they said it was hilarious, and you can find the video on my Twitter.
The second game involved the audience guessing FirstKhao’s preferences (sea vs. beach, plane vs. car, hoodie vs. t-shirt). Anyone who answered incorrectly had to sit down. The last person standing won a special prize – a 10-second staring contest with FirstKhao!
For this fanmeeting, I had a black pass, which put me quite far back. My view wasn’t great, but it was still a fun time.
The final fanmeeting was with EarthMix. Their event followed a similar format to the others, with songs, Q&A, and games. Some noteworthy questions included their favorite characters to play. Earth mentioned Phupa from “Tale of 1000 Stars,” while Mix chose his character from “Osman’s Love” because he felt it was most similar to himself. Later, when asked about which character most resembled them, Mix switched his answer to Wen from “Moonlight Chicken.”
One of the games involved the balloon game again, and I was on Earth’s team, which luckily won! Before the game, Mix sweetly asked the audience if anyone was afraid of balloons, which was such a kind gesture.
Their second game had them drawing each other on a transparent sheet of plastic. The drawings were then auctioned off, and the person sitting right next to me won Earth’s drawing of Mix! (I have a picture attached).
I had a black pass for this fanmeeting as well, but I was sitting further up front, which made for a much better view than I had at FirstKhao’s.
Overall: An Unforgettable Experience
Overall, I had an absolutely incredible time at both fanmeetings. While the prices are a little steep, I think a platin ticket is definitely worth it if these actors are your favorites. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend attending all the fanmeetings, but I’ll definitely be returning for the ones I love the most.
The events were exceptionally well organized, with everything running smoothly. It was a much better experience than I’d heard about with ForceBook fanmeetings.
Next up is PondPhuwin and JimmySea in August! I have a platin pass for PondPhuwin and a black pass for JimmySea, so stay tuned for my next post detailing my experience with them. Get ready for another dose of fan-tastic fun!
