Ready to experience the wonders of Rome? The Rome City Pass is your key to unlocking a seamless and affordable journey through this historic city.
Booking & Delivery:
The Rome City Pass grants you access to attractions for a consecutive number of days, starting at midnight and ending at midnight. It’s available in German, English, and French through our online booking system. Book early to secure your spot, as Rome’s attractions have limited visitor capacity. You’ll receive your City Pass and any requested airport transfer via email.
Important Note:
Don’t forget to check your spam folder if you haven’t received an email from Turbopass. If you find it there, mark it as “not spam” or “not junk” and add our sender to your whitelist to receive future emails. If you still haven’t found the email, contact our customer service for assistance.
Booking Flexibility:
Early birds can reserve their passes approximately six weeks before their desired travel date, receiving their documents at least one day before their trip. Last-minute planners can still book, but processing time may take up to 24 hours.
Vatican City: A Must-See Destination
The Vatican City is a breathtaking experience, but planning is key. When booking your City Pass, choose a specific date and time for your Vatican entry. If your preferred date isn’t available, you can opt out of Vatican access and the price will be adjusted accordingly.
Remember to adhere to the Vatican’s dress code, covering your knees and shoulders, or you may be denied entry. Be prepared for security checks at the entrance, which are mandatory for everyone, including those with priority entry.
Be aware of “helpful” salespeople outside the Vatican trying to sell you overpriced tickets. With your City Pass, you have free access and can go straight to the entrance.
Colosseum: Witness History Come Alive
The Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill are a must-see for any visitor to Rome. To reserve your entry to the Colosseum, choose a date and time slot during your booking. Remember to arrive 30 minutes before your allocated time slot due to security checks. You’ll bypass the ticket queue and head straight to the entrance.
Your ticket grants you access to all three sites: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill. You can visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on the same day as the Colosseum (even before it) or on a different day, regardless of your Colosseum time slot.
Children under 18 years old have a bit more flexibility. Their tickets are only bound by the date, allowing them to enter the Colosseum at any time on the specified day.
Note for Arrival or Departure Day:
We cannot guarantee your ticket for the Colosseum or the Vatican at a specific time on your arrival or departure day. Therefore, it’s best to avoid visiting these attractions on these days to avoid any disappointment.
Explore Rome at Your Own Pace: Hop-on Hop-off City Tour
Your Rome City Pass includes a 48-hour ticket for the hop-on hop-off bus, providing you with the freedom to explore the city at your own pace. Enjoy the free audio commentary available in multiple languages. The ticket is valid for 48 consecutive hours from the moment you first board the bus.
Make the Most of Your Rome City Pass
Validity:
The Rome City Pass is valid for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7 consecutive days, beginning on the first day it’s used. This period cannot be extended, even if it includes a museum’s closing day.
Enjoy Flexibility:
The services included in the Rome City Pass can be used in any order during the validity period. You can choose to visit the Colosseum first, then the Vatican, or vice versa.
Convenient Airport Transfers Included
Your Rome City Pass includes an airport transfer ticket for both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. You can use the transfer on flexible days, as its validity is not tied to the pass’s validity period.
Traveling with Children?
Children under 18 years old may need proof of age (passport or ID) for free entry to certain attractions. They are not required to pay admission to the Colosseum, but a free ticket is needed. This ticket can only be obtained on-site. You can find more information about obtaining a free ticket in the appendix of your pass under “Colosseum”.
Planning Your Itinerary: Essential Information
Opening Hours:
Remember that some museums and attractions may be closed for renovation or at short notice. Many Italian museums are closed on Mondays (except the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the tour), and on 25 December, 1 January, and 1 May.
The Vatican Museums are closed on Sundays and some church holidays. St Peter’s Basilica is always closed on Wednesdays from 8 am to 12 pm, and on 24 December and 31 December.
Prepare for Crowds:
Rome can get crowded, especially during peak travel times. Be prepared for waiting times at security checks and popular attractions, even with a reservation. The Colosseum’s capacity is limited to 3,000 visitors, so even with a reservation, you may experience some waiting.
Beyond the Big Attractions:
While the Colosseum and Vatican are must-sees, explore the many other wonderful museums and attractions that Rome has to offer. Your Rome City Pass includes access to a variety of attractions, ensuring an enriching experience.
The Rome City Pass: Your Ticket to Stress-Free Travel
The Rome City Pass is your one-stop shop for convenience and savings. Compared to purchasing individual tickets and organizing your own itinerary, it saves you time, money, and stress.
