Welcome to Rome! Your City Pass Awaits!

Booking and Delivery

Your Rome City Pass is valid for the number of consecutive days you choose. Each day begins at midnight and ends at midnight of the same calendar day. You can book your pass online in German, English, or French. Don’t wait! Book early, as visitor capacity in Rome is limited. After you’ve placed your order, you’ll receive your City Pass, and your airport transfer if you’ve included it, directly to your inbox.

If you haven’t received your email confirmation from Turbopass, check your spam or junk folder. If it’s there, mark it as “not spam” or “not junk,” and consider adding Turbopass to your white list. This will ensure you get future emails. Still can’t find it? Contact our friendly customer service team for help!

Early bookers can reserve their pass approximately six weeks before their desired date, ensuring they receive their documents at least one day before their trip. Last-minute travelers, don’t worry, your booking may take up to 24 hours to process.

Vatican: Your Journey to the Heart of Catholicism

When booking your City Pass, you can select a date and time for your preferred entry to the Vatican. You also have the option of not booking a Vatican visit if it doesn’t work with your schedule. In that case, the price of your City Pass will be adjusted accordingly.

Remember to dress appropriately for your Vatican visit, as clothing that covers your knees and shoulders is required. Failing to do so may result in being denied entry. While your City Pass grants you priority entry, be prepared for security checks at the entrance. These checks are necessary and cannot be bypassed, even with a City Pass. You might encounter salespeople outside the Vatican trying to sell you overpriced tickets. Don’t be tempted! Your City Pass grants you free access to the Vatican. Go straight to the entrance and enjoy your visit!

The Colosseum: Witness the Glory of the Roman Empire

For reserved access to the Colosseum, select a date and preferred time during your booking. To ensure a smooth entrance, arrive at least 30 minutes before your allocated time slot due to security checks. Your City Pass allows you to skip the ticket line and go straight to the entrance.

One ticket grants you access to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill. You can visit these sites on the same day or on different days, regardless of your Colosseum reservation time. Children under 18 do not need a specific time slot; the date is all that matters. They can enter the Colosseum at any time on the specified date.

Important Note: We recommend avoiding visits to the Colosseum or the Vatican on your arrival or departure days. We cannot guarantee specific time slots for these sites on these days.

Upon presentation of your pass, you will receive free access to the sights and museums included. You can use the services included in any order, but each service can be used only once during the validity period of your City Pass.

Children and Teens: Free Entry for the Young Ones

Children and teenagers under 18 sometimes require proof of age (passport or ID) for free entry to certain attractions. Children do not pay admission to the Colosseum, but a free ticket is required. This can only be obtained on-site. More information on obtaining this free ticket can be found in the appendix of your City Pass under “Colosseum.”

Many Italian museums are closed on Mondays (excluding the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the tour), and on December 25th, January 1st, and May 1st. The Vatican Museums are closed on Sundays and some church holidays. St. Peter’s Basilica is always closed on Wednesdays from 8 am to 12 pm and on December 24th and December 31st.

A Few Tips for Your Roman Adventure

Rome can be crowded, especially during peak travel times. Be prepared for large numbers of visitors at popular attractions. Security checks are mandatory for everyone and may cause waiting times. The Colosseum has a limited capacity of 3,000 visitors, so be prepared to wait even with a reservation. While the Colosseum and the Vatican are spectacular, don’t forget to explore the many other museums and attractions that Rome has to offer. Your City Pass includes a variety of options for a truly memorable and enriching Roman experience.

The Rome City Pass provides a convenient and cost-effective solution for your trip, saving you time, money, and stress. With its all-in-one package, you can focus on enjoying your vacation. For more information, visit the Questions and Help section of our website.
