Let’s talk about pre-existing medical conditions. These are any health issues you have before you buy your travel insurance policy. We need to know about any conditions that you’re currently dealing with, even if they’re just being investigated. This includes anything you’ve been recommended or planned for in the last six months.

For example, if you’re waiting for a follow-up appointment or need to have surgery, it’s important to tell us about it. Don’t worry, we have automatic cover for many pre-existing conditions, so check those out too!

Ready for a Medical Screening?

We’re happy to help you find the perfect travel insurance policy! Before we give you a quote, we just need to know a few things about your trip, like your age, destination, and dates. Once you’ve entered these details, you can click “Continue” to start your medical screening. This just involves telling us a bit more about you, like your name and email.

Don’t worry, it’s easy! And it ensures we can give you the best possible cover for your adventure.

Snow Sports Fun?

Are you planning some thrilling snow sports activities on your trip? We want you to have peace of mind while you’re gliding down the slopes, so we offer extra cover for snow-related adventures.

You can choose to add snow sports cover to your policy. This will cost a little extra, but it’s worth it for that added protection. It covers snow skiing, snowboarding, backcountry skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, and telemark skiing, both on and off the slopes.

If you’re not planning to hit the snow, feel free to uncheck this option.

Control Your Excess!

Want to keep your costs down in case of an unexpected claim? We get it! You can choose to reduce your excess. This means you’ll pay less out of your own pocket if you need to make a claim.

A standard excess of $250 applies to most claims. By choosing the variable excess option, you can lower your excess to $0 on some plans. Of course, there may be additional excess amounts for specific medical conditions, which can’t be removed.

Cruising Around the World?

Cruising is covered as standard! Simply tell us your destination. If your cruise stops in only one country, just select that one. But if you’re planning a multi-stop adventure, be sure to add each destination to your policy.

Important note for cruisers to New Caledonia: Remember to also add “South Pacific Cruise” to your policy. This ensures your cruise is included on your Certificate of Insurance.

And for Australian cruises: Be sure to select the “Australian Waters” option instead of just “Australia.” This will make sure you’re covered for your whole trip.

We’re here to help you stay safe while you’re on the high seas. If you get sick during your cruise, we can offer overseas medical cover on board, even if you contract Coronavirus. But remember, it’s essential to follow all government guidelines and be aware of the exclusions in your policy.

Already Overseas? No Worries!

You can still get travel insurance even if you’re already overseas! If your current policy has expired, or if you need cover for your trip back home, you can purchase while you’re away. Just make sure your trip ends at your home in Australia.

There may be a 72-hour waiting period for policies purchased while you’re already travelling, so check the PDS for more information.

Traveling with Children?

We love seeing families travel! We’ve got you covered for your little adventurers. If your children, stepchildren, grandchildren, foster children, or legal wards are travelling with you, they’re covered as long as:

  • They are under 25 years old, and
  • They are working less than 30 hours per week.

Coronavirus Coverage

We understand the uncertainties of travelling in a world still impacted by Coronavirus. That’s why we offer specific cover for coronavirus-related events. This includes things like:

  • Contracting Coronavirus, causing you to cancel your trip or requiring quarantine.
  • A healthcare worker’s leave being cancelled due to the pandemic.
  • Being denied boarding due to a suspected infection.

One-Way Travel? We Have You Covered!

Whether you’re jetting off for a one-way trip overseas or heading back to Australia, we offer travel insurance for one-way journeys. Just tell us your departure and return dates, and make sure your trip starts or ends at your home in Australia.

We’re here to make your travel plans stress-free! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We’re happy to help you find the right travel insurance for your next adventure.
